I’ve been so caught up with work and everything in between that I have forgotten to celebrate the little things in life. I’ve also forgotten to stop for a second, smell the roses and sink my feet deep into some sand. Thankfully, God keeps reminding us everyday that there is beauty and charm all around us. Here’s what I’ve been experiencing.
As I sit on my couch with my balcony door open, sun rays and cool breeze oozing in and my favorite candle lit, I can truly say I haven’t been this happy in a long time. Yes, I am happy almost 95% of the time but this is a new kind of happy and I am basking in every moment.
There is no doubt that I live on one of the most beautiful places on earth, Nassau – The Bahamas. The beach is such a great way to run away for a little and enjoy natural beauty. Everything from blue skies, calm water and much more can be found on your drive at every point of the island. For this I am forever grateful.
Pictured is my beautiful friend Tracey. A beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit on an even more beautiful day. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’ve learned a few vital lessons while I’ve been away from blogging. It’s quite a bit to mention here but I have learned, (not quite mastered) the art of letting go and living in the moment. Over-thinking drains us and distracts us from enjoying life and its magical moments. So it’s time that that bad habit is thrown out!
I’ve come across so many beautiful images that I took while in Abaco last summer and they took me right back to the joy and love I felt while on that island. Immerse yourself in color, good times, great food and great company!
One major lesson I’ve learned is that ‘people’s opinions of me is not my business.’ It’s that simple. For some reason people feel the need to vocalize their opinions about others and truth be told, I am not concerned about such things. Whether things are 100% or 10% great in my life people will have their own opinions and thoughts. I am way too busy of a woman to be concerned with what those opinions are.
Enjoy the beauty in our island, celebrate great people and always remain humble and grateful.
Please join me once again as I document the beautiful moments in my life.
