How I see Abaco.

They say the third time’s the charm but I think the second is just as good. This past weekend I visited Abaco for the second time and just like the first time, I left with enough memories to take me through the year.

Check out my first experience in Abaco here.

Elbow Cay

Elbow Cay

Two years ago we stayed at Grabbers on Great Guana Cay and we loved every single minute. I must admit that we like the energy there. it’s super close to Nippers and you can def find more young people to connect with. This time around we stayed on Treasure Cay at the Bahama Beach Club and I was sold the very moment I walked through the door.

Treasure Cay just has this calm and charm that I really like. It’s perfect if you’re going with your significant other or even a group of friends.

We found a little party spot the first night and even got lost. I won’t divulge the details just yet but it’s safe to say our adventure that night was one to remember.

There’s something really special about waking up anytime you want when you’re on an island vacation and I took advantage of that. After finally getting myself together we ran off to the boat for a day of cay hopping, snorkelling and lunching.

Seeing the lighthouse was a highlight for me. I didn’t get the opportunity to see it, let alone climb it my first time in Abaco so this was a must-do! I must admit, climbing to the top is not for the unfit but it is totally worth it once you get to the top and soak in that view!

Up next was lunch at Firefly Resort. Let me start by saying that they have moonshine! Yes, moonshine and it just so happens that it’s a personal fave. Our bartender Vardo helped us to select the best drink option to wash down our jerk wrap, complimented by avocado and sweet potato fries.

I really think that God took His time when He made the islands of The Bahamas. Being in the water, soaking up all that sunshine and being lost in that moment is so special and I truly believe that you can’t quite find that anywhere else.

Here’s a few of my fave photos from our second day. This time, we hit Great Guana Cay to visit a friend at Grabbers and then off to Nippers for beaching and drinks!

The rest of the day was kind of unreal. A long stretch of beach that felt like you could walk on it for hours surrounded us as we baked in the sunshine! Music, laughter, libations. What more could you ask for?

Major shout-out to Allure Swimsuit Boutique for my amazing swimsuits! You can’t run away to the islands without something fun to wear. Both swimsuits from this trip complimented whatever I paired them with.

What’s an island getaway without something comfy yet chic to wear? I purchased this funky romper from 143 Elle, Marathon Road. Comfort and ease.

I must admit that I am a little biased as Exuma is my first love but Abaco has a charm that you can’t help but notice. If you have any questions about this trip or need any recommendations feel free to email
