The curtain is drawn, the lashes are off, the scores are in! Last night the Miss Bahamas Organization lucked out three times when they crowned three new queens – Miss World Bahamas, Miss Universe Bahamas and Miss Earth Bahamas.
The night started with the Miss World Bahamas competition featuring six competitors vying for the crown! Coming out in the top 3 were Miss World New Providence Angenique Smith, Miss World Long Island Tavette Darville and Miss World Grand Bahama Chantel O’Brian.
Before we knew it the numbers were in. The crowning moment for the new Miss World Bahamas came and Miss Chantel O’Brian came out as a winner.
The audience got 30 minutes before the start of the Miss Universe showing.
In between breaks I got a chance to chat with the contestants backstage and pageant attendants. Here are some highlights.
I loved wearing this sequined romper! With all the running around this number gave me the ease and comfort I needed. It was provided by Debonaire Boutique – Nassau, Bahamas.
I figured a little funk on my nails would be great for final night. The Nail Luxe came through at the very last minute and got my hands together! Check out her work here. Contact info: De’Shaughn Martin – 242.432.9552.

Now that we got a few photo ops it was time to run back to the stage for the Miss Universe Bahamas competition. The top 3 included Miss Universe Paradise Island Toriah Nicole Penn, Miss Universe New Providence Sienna Evans and Miss Universe Grand Bahama Darronique Young.
The suspense eased when Darronique Young was crowned Miss Earth.
With 2 left on the stage the audience sat eagerly on the edge of their chairs to see the crowing of the new Miss Universe Bahamas and with that, everyone congratulated …
Congratulations goes out to the brave and beautiful ladies!
