I promised to chat about wine on #caytostyle .com and I’m here to do just that. Last Friday I checked out yet another wine tasting here in Nassau featuring wines by Jacob’s Creek and I’m so happy I did.
Thank you to Brand Representative – Keiani Worrell for the invite and for scoring me a bottle of my fave. Here are the details.
The event was hosted by Burn’s House. Brand Ambassador Federico Lleonart gave us all the information we needed.
The wine tasting featured Jacob’s Creek – Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz. I thought I would never fall in love again after Jeremy but it seems; I have. And I wouldn’t change a thing about it.
The Jacob Creek Shiraz came out the gate swinging but the Chardonnay was equally amazing. Both, so very light on your palette and your taste buds, both complimenting two different types of foods, both so perfect for date night or a little relaxation after work.
We were greeted with the Jacob’s Creek Chardonnay, after the door- a light white wine easy as it goes down. It was the perfect hello and personally something I would bring to girl’s night. We moved on to the Shiraz, red in color, and I was wet…
(My tongue was wet after tasting)
Paired with sliders and other red meats it is the perfect taste. Not overpowering your meet, not leaving an aftertaste behind. That’s what the Shiraz was for me.
I played biased after my immediate climax with Shiraz but we were then offered a glass of Shiraz Cabernet and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon at the same time. To my surprise, the Shiraz Cabernet was much better! Recently I’ve grown attached to Cabernet Sauvignon but this was not the same. The speaker for the evening agreed that it is indeed different from others of its kind and it’s not necessarily his favorite either.
Updates coming soon on the perfect foods to pair these wines with!
